‘Two hands’

Today (Wednesday) is the day I publish my regular column on, the site for marketers by marketers. I nominate an ad for the prestigious title of ‘Ad of the Week’, using the highly sophisticated method of me choosing what I like.

This week I’ve selected an ad that is not entirely new, but bubbled up when it won a silver for its creators, Y&R. It’s a ‘Public Service Announcement’ that promotes people handing in their guns — but there is a certain amount of controversy around the subject.
