For a long time Google and Facebook have been criticised for invasion of privacy in the name of commerce. Now it’s Twitter’s turn at the plate. The microblogging service has released a free API called Fabric, that will enable developers to create mobile apps that integrate with Twitter — essentially aiming to turn Twitter into the centre of the app universe.
