Lexus has adaptive headlights that intelligently follow the road

It’s time, once again, for my weekly pick of the top ads that have made an impression this week, for my regular column on Marklives.com, Africa’s foremost site for marketers about marketing, media and advertising.

A billboard, placed strategically at Cape Town International Airport, demonstrates the effect of the Lexus’s adaptive headlight technology, using an interesting ‘trompe l’oeil’ effect called ‘reverse perspective’, which makes the image seem to follow your line of sight. If you can’t make it out to the mother city’s airport, there’s a video explaining it, demonstrating how this effect works so well for the luxury brand.
