Hello, Cape Town Weekend
In my weekly column for Marklives.com, Africa’s premier marketing site, I select an Ad of the Week from print, TV, digital/online and radio. This week the one that stood out most is Cape Town Tourism’s “Hello Weekend campaign.
Most people think of Cape Town as a summertime destination, but Cape Town Tourism is working hard to dispel that myth, with its campaign that offers 52 weekends with different themes. Thompsons, who offer bespoke travel packages based on these weekend themes, has reported a 12.5% increase in sales over the period, and the dedicated microsite has had over 35,000 unique visits since the launch in may, with 52,000 views of the video, which you can watch and read about at Marklives.com.
