The Brands Beloved of Bond
The 15th instalment of the James Bond franchise, Spectre, has brands galore, but according to Brandchannel’s Abe Sauer, has less product placement than any of its predecessors.
There’s the car — of course — the Aston Martin DB10… Belvedere vodka for that shaken, not stirred, Martini… Bolinger makes its 15th appearance… plus Heineken, Fiat, Land Rover, Jaguar, Globe-Trotter Luggage, Macallan Whisky, Mercedes Benz, N.Peal clothing, Omega watches, Rolls-Royce, Sony Xperia Z5… then there are media brands, weapons, aircraft that all get a look-in. The Bond brand is stronger than ever, and the the London School of Marketing places its value at some $20-billion.
