Every Wednesday I choose one of the top ads from the current crop, to feature as ‘Ad of the Week’ in my column on Marklives.com — Africa’s foremost marketing site.

This week we see the competition between fibre providers hotting up, with Telkom having signed Usain Bolt as its spokesperson. The latest TV ad for Telkom’s offering — dubbed ‘BoltSpeed’ — is entertaining and original, and uses the celebrity factor to its fullest, while also introducing us to a future ‘star’.
