Every Wednesday I select a current ad to award the title of ‘Ad of the Week’, for my regular column on Marklives.com, Africa’s foremost marketing site.

This week’s pick is a campaign from DDB South Africa that made exclusive use of Instagram. This is where ‘foodies’ love to post pictures of the meals they’re about to eat. Glad has tackled the issue of food wastage while marketing its USP by returning those pictures to the creators a couple of days later – wrapped in plastic, and ‘still fresh’.
